East Bay Market Update – January 20, 2021

Several properties hit the East Bay market this week. From fixer-upper opportunities to waterfront condos, there is quite the variety available.


261 Narragansett Avenue is a nice opportunity for someone that has the appetite for a project. Located in the seaside Bay Spring neighborhood in West Barrington, there is a lot to like about the spot. You are just steps from beautiful western and southern facing water views, Latham Park – a small waterfront park with room to picnic, play, fish, or launch a kayak – and the Safe Harbor Cove Haven Marina, which offers deep water dockage and a full service marina.  

The house itself is just 800 square feet of living space and the structure itself is in total disrepair. However, the lot is a generous size for this neighborhood and, with the right research and planning, a thoughtfully designed new home could be built upon the lot. There are some factors that affect one’s ability to build upon the lot, some of which are zoning and flood elevation related, so be sure to talk with an experienced agent at Chart House before making any purchase decision based upon your ability to rebuild.
