    East Bay Market Update – June 30, 2021

    In recent weeks, the inventory level of homes available for sale has started to increase slightly across our local market. There has also recently been some talk about whether or not the market has started to “soften.”  For a moment, it felt like things might start to return to a more moderate or “normal” real estate market. However, buyer demand has continued to prove strong, and reasonably priced and properly marketed homes are still selling quickly, oftentimes with multiple offers, and over (if not well over) the asking price. 

    If you are considering selling, don’t let this market trick you into thinking that it’s easy, though! Buyers are intelligent, well-informed and particular about what they get for their money. This certainly explains how some homes can sit for a bit on the market while others receive multiple offers.  How the property is presented, the level of information and detail available as well as other factors, like creative marketing, will influence your ability to sell quickly and for top dollar.
