    Real Estate Sales: May Recap

    As we enter a new month, we decided to research and recap May’s real estate sales history in Barrington, Bristol, Portsmouth, and the East Side of Providence. We constantly hear that the market is “crazy” and that inventory is incredibly low, but we were curious exactly how significantly the numbers have changed over the past few years. We found that the median sale price in most markets has drastically increased, and that homes this year, on average, are selling for 100% of their list price (or more!) As you will see below, is still a fantastic time to sell.

    Here is the sales history for single family homes in the month of May over the last three years:

    Barrington

    May 2021: 

    • Total Sales: 18
    • Median Sale Price: $587,900 / $312 psf (per square foot)
    • Percentage of List Price: 105%

    May 2020: 

    • Total Sales: 29
    • Median Sale Price: $497,500 / $252 psf
